We’re experiencing a moment that none of us have ever seen before. It seems as if time has stopped, we're living this lockdown as if floating in a limbo. In truth, time is running (very fast!) and it’s probably going to change our future radically. As a visible sign of this, a lot of elderly people have passed and are passing away around the world, bringing with them their wisdom. We will get our normal life back but we are risking to lo lose something very crucial for our society: an invaluable heritage of knowledge.
Locked at home, I’ve tried to express my own idea about the loss of our roots and how important is for all of us to protect them at all costs. GOODBYEROOTS - a series of prints on brushed aluminum support - is about hope and rebirth, new consciousness and revitalized spirit for a brighter future.
